October 1915 found us (Frant and Lawrence) again
at the B.A.C., except James (his half brother 13
years older than him), except for James who went
to the A.C. This year I was associate editor of
the “Student,” president of the Ag. Club,
secretary of the Junior Class, and tried to carry
a heavy enough course so I could be admitted to
the A.C. the next winter.
As told by Francis Allen Esplin

In the latter part of February, James died suddenly of Pneumonia in Logan. Lawrence went to Logan by train from Lund and on to Orderville with the body. When the date of the funeral was set, five of us went. We traveled as far as Hurricane by auto then hired a team and buggy to go the remainder of the way, taking the usual three days for the trip.
It was a sad visit but also enjoyable to see our folks and dearest friends.
