Francis talked of his hip and the troubles he had
with it. He was lucky enough that he was still
able to travel. In “Reminiscences” page 68,
Francis says:
“We had many lovely trips, conducted bus tours, the best of which was a twenty-two day trip to Palmyra, Hill Cumorah Pageant, Historic Church sites and Canada.”
Francis discusses the Hawaiian trip:
“In November 1964, we had a memorable nine day trip to Hawaii at which we were very happy to have Aunt Elsie C. Carroll as a companion.” Elsie was one of Annie’s half sisters, the 5th child of Thomas Chamberlain and Eleanor Angeline Holt.
